July was a very intensive time in Latinovac as the annual summer camp "Seedlings of peace" and "Slama fest" were held. Norman Bendle is a professor of Linguistics at North Island College in Canada. He came up with an idea of a field school in peace studies, picked two best students and arrived to Latinovac to participate in the activities.
- What's your impression about Latinovac?
- It's a beautiful place and has a great potential to be a centre of human development. It still is, but it can be greater. In order to achieve that people has to establish priorities and figure out how to work better. I love the village, I miss some lake or river though. The people are really nice and well intentioned. I learned a lot of things about them and about myself.
